Letter from the editor

Hi there Increment readers,

Dig in. This issue, we’re looking at approaches to testing that defy expectations, push us to craft better code, encourage us to reconsider the status quo, and, ultimately, that further our omnipresent quest to create truly excellent software. (That last bit, of course, is a running theme in these pages…!)

As we put this issue together, I was struck by the veritable power of testing. The expanse of what it can represent and offer beyond its usual technical and product implications. The breadth of what it means to test. The impact on communication and mutual understanding and inclusion. The liberties and restrictions. The experimentation it encourages. The peace of mind it fosters. It’s good stuff, friends. Go forth and test!

Until next time,

Sid Orlando
Editor in Chief
